11-11-11 is considered an auspicious date by most, and for Maybank Philippines, it is also the day the bank chose to formally open its one-stop financial services hub in the heart of Ayala Center Cebu. The Maybank Cebu Business Center is a 431 square meter complex that houses a full service branch, complete with Auto Lending Center, Personal Loans and Maxi Home Loan Desk, and Commercial Banking Office. It is a relocation and expansion of the Maybank Cebu Branch which was previously located along Osmeña Boulevard.
Dato' Mohd Salleh bin Harun, Chairman of the Maybank Philippines Board, led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, assisted by Spouses David and Judilyne Lim, valued clients of the branch, and MPI PCEO Amos Ong. Also gracing the event are key Senior Management and the rest of the MPI Board of Directors.
In his Welcome Address, Dato' Salleh highlighted the importance of Cebu in Maybank's overall plan of growing the business and expanding its presence in the country. "Cebu is a very important metropolitan center in the Philippines; it is a significant commerce, trade and industry hub in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. It is definitely a place where Maybank wants a strong presence, and this expansion to strategic Cebu Business Park makes it very accessible and convenient for everyone to bank with us."
Since 1997, Maybank has strengthened its operations in the Philippines by innovating better banking products and by always putting customers first. The newly-opened Maybank Cebu Business Center will complement banking operations of its existing Mandaue Branch, the first among five new branches opened in 2010. Maybank currently has 51 branches nationwide, offering customers a portfolio of products and services suited to meet a variety of financial needs.
The Maybank Cebu Business Center core team is comprised of Pat Rodriguez, Branch Head; Edwina Quijada, Service Head; James Amores, VisMin Commercial Banking Head; Dodie Dawang, Personal Loans Officer; and Dax Albarece, Auto Lending Center Head.
